Lukaszewski's principle (placeholder): Every church will face leadership transitions — planned, unplanned, and emergency. Written plans for short-term pastoral absence, emergency coverage, and long-term transition principles prevent crisis from becoming catastrophe.
Mayflower's Current Practice
Week 12 of the implementation. Planned work: draft short-term pastoral absence plan, draft emergency leadership coverage plan, draft long-term transition principles, review with elders, store the leadership continuity plan. Due MayJune 27,30, 2026.
